Bella Stationery Studio is the creation of Melbourne based stationery artist Belinda Weeks.
I am the hands, head and heart behind the brand, with a creative style best captured through watercolour brush strokes and artful illustrations. Weddings and social stationery provide the perfect platform to share my love of colour and mixed mediums, offering a refreshing take on traditional paper goods.
I'm here to help you on your stationery adventure, whether that be with a collection of custom designed wedding paper pieces, an invitation pack for a small celebration or a set of beautifully crafted string and button envelopes.
My approach to design begins with a pencil or paintbrush in hand, resulting in layers of colour and handcrafted details. What follows is stationery made with purpose and care using quality paper and modern printing techniques. All materials are sourced from Australian suppliers, from paper and envelopes to carefully crafted packaging.
Once each design is ready to make its way onto paper, I work closely with the clever folk of a Melbourne-based and family run printing studio. They help to bring each stationery piece to life with quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. They take joy in combining full colour printing with specialty finishes such as laser cutting and raised ink.
The Bella house paper used for most wedding stationery projects is a lovely thick (340gsm) bright white card. Made here in Australia, the paper perfectly captures the detail in every design and is FSC certified with recycled content.
Designed to compliment my wedding and social stationery is a range of beautifully crafted string and tie envelopes. Made here in Melbourne using brown kraft card, each envelope is hand folded and assembled before being finished with the signature string and button closure. Available in a range of sizes ideal for sending, crafting and packaging.
BELLA STATIONERY STUDIO CAME TO BE IN 2008
My creative career began ten years ago as a graphic designer for an Australian sportswear brand. After a year long adventure overseas I returned home to a job in corporate design. It was during this time that my mind began to wonder about career alternatives offering more creative freedom. I had always been a maker and missed the days where my designs began with a pencil or paintbrush in hand. One evening I came across the work of a wedding stationery studio and discovered a niche in the design world that fit me perfectly. A place based purely on dreamy love stories, of celebrations and happy moments shared by the people we love most. This sparked my love for wedding stationery design, and with that Bella Stationery Studio was born.
